EHS Associate / Admin
Position Overview:
We are seeking an EHS Associate to support safety operations and administrative activities on a large-scale data center construction project in Lisle, IL. This position will support the project safety team with daily field safety activities, documentation, inspections, and coordination related to MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Piping) construction.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in an active construction environment, and able to communicate effectively with contractors, subcontractors, and project personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Site Safety Manager and project safety team with daily safety activities.
- Conduct routine jobsite safety observations, inspections, and documentation.
- Assist with monitoring compliance with OSHA requirements, site safety policies, and project-specific procedures.
- Support daily and weekly safety paperwork, reports, logs, and tracking.
- Assist with maintaining safety records, training documentation, inspection reports, and corrective-action documentation.
- Help coordinate and document toolbox talks, safety meetings, orientations, and training.
- Assist with tracking employee/site safety credentials and required documentation.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with site safety requirements.
- Assist with identifying unsafe conditions and communicating corrective actions to appropriate personnel.
- Support incident and near-miss documentation and follow-up.
- Assist with maintaining SDS documentation and other required safety records.
- Work closely with field supervision and subcontractors to promote safe work practices.
- Provide administrative support to the project safety department as needed.
- Assist with maintaining organized electronic and physical project safety files.
- Support safety activities associated with mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and other MEP installations.
Qualifications:
- 7+ year of construction safety, safety administration, or construction administration experience preferred.
- Experience working on industrial, data center, or large-scale construction projects preferred.
- MEP construction experience or exposure strongly preferred.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to communicate effectively with field personnel, subcontractors, and management.
- Ability to spend extended periods on an active construction jobsite.
Preferred Certifications:
- BCSP Certification preferred.
- First Aid/CPR.
