Construction Safety Associate - Charles City, VA
About the Role:
Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Safety Associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing health and safety practices in accordance with OSHA regulations and client standards.
We are looking for a self-directed, detail-oriented safety professional with excellent communication and computer skills who thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the site/facility on-boarding/new hire safety orientation program as well as other, necessary and/or ongoing job-specific safety training, as requested.
- Coordinate and conduct routine/scheduled safety meetings, that include relevant site/facility topical information, comprehensive agendas, captured minutes/actions, and accurate attendance records.
- Conduct daily site/facility safety and health general site assessments or specific inspections and maintaining written finding and close-out documentation.
- Conduct site safety, health, property/process loss root-cause investigations and completing the required reports.
- Maintain the site OSHA 300 Form and associated supplementals, other project required statistical metrics/reports as required.
- Maintain and/or knowledge and access to applicable ES&H/OSHA Construction and General Industry related
- regulatory reference material on the job site.
- Develop implementing, and compliance assessing of approved, site/facility-specific safety policy, plans and/or Job Safety/Hazard Analysis’ thereof.
- Provide ongoing site safety and health compliance coaching and education to all site personnel.
- Maintain the site/facility – Listing of Hazardous Chemicals and associated SDS inventory.
- Other site/facility-specific ES&H tasks/duties as deemed relevant and/or necessary to the Project Management
Minimum Qualifications
- Certifications - OSHA 10, 30, and 510, First Aid/CPR/AED
- Experience - (5) or more years of direct ES&H, Solar, and/or related area experience
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, etc.
