Construction Safety Associate - Cincinnati, OH
About the Role:
Environmental and Safety Solutions, Inc. (ESS) is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Construction Safety Associate. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing and managing health and safety practices in accordance with OSHA regulations and client standards.
We are looking for a self-directed, detail-oriented safety professional with excellent communication and computer skills who thrives in a fast-paced, compliance-driven construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the Project site/facility on-boarding/new hire safety.
orientation program as well as other, necessary and/or ongoing job-specific safety training, as requested. - Coordinating and conducting routine/scheduled safety meetings, that include relevant site/facility topical information, comprehensive agendas, captured minutes/actions, and accurate attendance records.
- Conducting daily site/facility safety and health general site assessments or specific inspections and maintaining written finding and close-out documentation.
- Conducting site safety, health, property/process loss root-cause investigations and completing the required reports.
- Maintaining the site OSHA 300 Form and associated supplementals, other project required statistical metrics/reports for the self-perform Contractor's Team, site subcontractors and/or the collective Project, as required.
- Maintaining and/or knowledge and access to applicable ES&H/OSHA.
Construction and General Industry related regulatory reference material on the job site. - Developing, implementing, and compliance assessing of approved, site/facility-specific safety policy, plans and/or Job Safety/Hazard Analysis’ thereof.
- Providing ongoing site safety and health compliance coaching and education to all site personnel.
- Maintaining the site/facility – Listing of Hazardous Chemicals and associated SDS inventory.
- An ability to organize tasks and work efficiently without direct, day-to-day oversight and/or supervision.
- Other site/facility-specific ES&H tasks/duties as deemed relevant and/or necessary to the Project Management Team, as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Certifications - OSHA 10, 30, 510 Construction Certification, (CHST-Pending), First-Aid/CPR/AED Certification.
- Experience - (7) or more years of direct ES&H and/or related area experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Procore, etc.
- Local to project Preferred.
- Pharma/clean room experience.
