Summary:
- Maintain a strong field presence (90%+ of time) to monitor job site safety conditions and behaviors
- Conduct daily site walkthroughs, inspections, and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA and site-specific safety requirements
- Identify hazards, assess risks, and implement corrective actions in real time
- Partner with superintendents, foremen, and subcontractors to promote a proactive safety culture
- Lead and participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and pre-task planning sessions
- Observe work activities across multiple trades (mechanical, electrical, structural, etc.) and ensure safe work practices are followed
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; document findings and support corrective action plans
- Reinforce positive safety behaviors while coaching and mentoring workers on best practices
Requirements:
- OSHA 510 Preferred or additional experience.
- Local to the project preferred, there is per diem available if not local.
- 5 to 7 years of construction safety management experience.
- Ability to start this project as soon as possible.
- Must have excellent writing and computer skills.
- Great communication - written & verbal.
- Candidate must have strong background in demolition.
